Term

[edit]

any relation to the japanese word "inago" for grasshopper? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.221.253.107 (talk) 16:03, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

In latin language does "imago" also mean a perfect example for something? Eleka tv (talk) 20:14, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I cannot find a single entomological source that uses the term imago for the adult stage of an insect. Where are the sources? The way this is set up, it makes it look like Wikipedia is trying to invent the term.

Is it appropriate to have a nearly 4 MB image directly embedded in the page? 74.192.129.87 (talk) 03:59, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

The image would work better as a webm. Beside that, it's a freaking scary image and might spook some people. 2601:189:4000:76A9:95E3:8C24:26FB:7B1F (talk) 20:13, 23 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I second this proposition as I am one that was spooked by the image animation on the article preview. FrancOV19 (talk) 03:04, 21 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
