Change Title.

This page needs to be changes becuase, it's called Homelander (comics). However it also talks about the television series so it must be called only Homelander, but I can’t move it becuase there is a redirect called Homelander. • Move The page refers not only him in the comics, but also in the TV adaptation, which means the title doesn’t match with the article, as he doesn’t only refers him in the comics. The Homelander

Why was the "The" removed? from e.g. the beginning of the article text Warpfrz (talk) 11:04, 6 May 2026 (UTC)

I’m not 100% completely sure about that, but it should be restored, you are right: beyond the art book mentioning his full name and, the actual comic book consistently refers to him as the Homelander, not simply Homelander. Even the television series has him call himself “the” Homelander a handful of times, like over that one episode of Diabolical, that one episode of Season 3 where he spells out to Starlight what he would do if she revealed what he had done, and his final season in Season 5 — it was always "I am the Homelander", not simply "I am Homelander". Real name source?

Is there a single source for his last name being "Gillman"? It's never mentioned in the comics (his first name is just given as "John" there, no last name). BubbleRevolution (talk) 20:25, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

Appreciate you providing these, however I don't think any of them qualify enough to confirm the character's name. The Art of the Boys does NOT list his real name at all, for the record, I looked through that entire book while looking for a source and nothing is provided. The other sources are secondary from media outlets, not primary sources, which all appear to be citing external sources (like this Wikipedia page), for example, and as such we can't use them as proof because it likely is an example of circular reporting.

The ONLY example that could remotely qualify is the Godolkin U page, but again, that was likely not produced in-house and whoever made it could have just assumed the "Gillman" name was official, and it also doesn't state "Homelander's canonical full name is John Gillman". His first name IS John, that much is clear in both the show and comics, but "Gillman", as far as I can tell, appears to be a fanmade name that was erroneously cited in news sources based on it featuring on this page unsourced. Black Noir

Shouldn’t it be mentioned that the television series’ version of Homelander is a composite character between the comic-book Homelander and the comic-book Black Noir?
