The text I just reverted badly misrepresented the source, which does not say anything about what "most Americans that are part of any religious denomination" believe about abortion. The source, as its title indicates, is about official positions of different denominations. Moreover, the source emphasizes nuance in their positions. That is, most of the official positions discussed, while favoring restrictions, do not favor banning abortion under all circumstances. So the added text violates WP:NOR and WP:V. I am mending the text of "Abortion around the world "Japan"" part one by one because most of the parts are different from the reality, and I cannot find the book of the source "Abortion in Asia: An Overview"here in Japan. I cannot find any resource backing up the source.I will replace Japanese part as soon as I can find English article, as the part was very different from reality, for example

This abortion rate in Japan is not possible.

Dispute regarding the Biblical passage from Numbers

At the end of that paragraph the sentence is supported by a non-RS source -- a Masters thesis by a divinity student. The term "some scholars" does not even include the author of the source. The thesis clearly has a strong anti-abortion POV and, as its title makes clear, it's written from a religious standpoint, which is not the same as scholarly neutrality. Starting the sentence with "Some abortion opponents" would be much more accurate than "Some scholars". NightHeron (talk) 15:14, 9 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you want to talk about WP:RS, worth mentioning that the entire paragraph relies on a single archived article from "Freedom From Religion Foundation" - I'll let the image you see at the beginning of the article speak for itself.
