The synopsis of the legend comes from a blog whose source no longer exists. Blogs in general are dubious sources. Furthermore, there are no other records of a legend involving ra-maad, which is an esoteric term for rhinoceros based on Angkorian Khmer, not an actual mythical figure. Based off the information, it's most likely that the story cited was a modern interpretation of the original Traibhumikhata that discussed the Himmapan forest, rather than an actual myth that existed.
