Discrepancy in name

Fernpandaice, in the first paragraph, you have the surname as Mannox or Maddock, and in the first reference, it is Mannock. Even allowing for the vagaries of spelling in Tudor England, linking the three looks rather like original research, which isn't allowed in the English Wikipedia.

As for the second reference, I looked at the book on the Internet Archive . To my mind The name of Henry Mannox, when placed in connection with that of Lord Edmund Howard, brings before us the sad story of Lord Edmund's daughter, Queen Katherine. Could this person have been the early corrupter of the young girl, and the player on the virginals in the household of the Dowager Duchess of Norfolk? Whoever he was, Lady Howard held him in no great esteem, and he was unhappy in his son does not make the connection that you have in the article. It poses the question in a rather gossipy way, but does not answer it. Again, this smacks of original research on your part, and I would further suggest that the source is not hugely reliable, though I have not made a thorough investigation.

Hi! Gareth Russell, Katherine Howard's official biographer, writes that his surname was spelled in a variety of ways: Mannox, Manox or Mannock. So that checks out. Fernpandaice (talk) 20:58, 17 February 2025 (UTC)

I saw you added that. Still doesn't explain why you have Maddock in the first sentence - maybe that is a typo.I have put an {{under construction}} template on the page, and will leave off for now on the basis that you may be adding more reliable sources. But as it stands, I do not think that the sourcing merits an article, particularly given the apparently dubious nature of reference #2, the Steinman one.
