So this has been up since 2010 and no one has commented on it, so i am starting this convorsation. I think it should be merged, they are the same game, and the new Hare and the Hound has enough info for its own section.Meatsgains (talk) 03:09, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

An article in Popular Science sketches archeological work on a limestone game board that appears to be used for a "new" hare game variant the authors named Ludus Coriovalli. The journal paper on which it draws contains much more detail. Interestingly, they deduced the probably game play using an AI trained on the rules for a collection of ancient games and on the wear patterns visible on the game board.
