Molt in high school in 1958
Molt in high school in 1958
  • ... that Hank Molt (pictured), known as "the godfather of reptile smuggling", called himself "a man of mystery somewhat by design"?
  • Source: Monsters of God, HBO Max, Episode 1, at 10:16-10:26 (Molt describes himself: "I was a bit of paradox in those days. An enigma for sure. A man of mystery somewhat by design, somewhat by default."), and at 21:10-21:20 (US Fish & Wildlife special agent Marie Falladini interviewed about Molt: "When I first got hired by Fish and Wildlife, I had heard about Hank Molt. He was the godfather of reptile smuggling and he basically taught a lot people how to do things . . ."). Also this piece from TV Insider: "Molt — also known as the 'Godfather of Reptile Smuggling' — traveled the world capturing endangered species."

  • New enough and long enough. No copyright qualms, only being flagged for quotations, so good. I think the hook is interesting, though I'd prefer "... that "the godfather of reptile smuggling" (pictured) called himself "a man of mystery somewhat by design"?", with it being shorter and drawing more attention to Molt himself. QPQ is urgently needed, which is the only standing obstacle. Roast (talk) 22:20, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I like your alt hook. Will add the QPQ this evening. Cbl62 (talk) 22:45, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
