- Here's the crux of the issue: a new hotel is not notable. A historic hotel on the National Register of Historic Places is. So, the historic name should be used, except in the context of the current project. —C.Fred (talk) 03:27, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

Book by Glenn Ingram
[edit]The book The Gulf Stream Hotel story exists but it's a self-published book from 1976. Neither book itself nor its author appear to be Wikipedia notable which isn't required per se WP:NNC but can help when deciding things such as this. The book doesn't seem to have garned any critical reviews, and the author Glenn Ingram seems to have been an accountant from Chicago who wrote the book based on his expereinces of staying there with his wife. If this person is the author, he died in 1992, and the only mention I could find of him is on Wikipedia might be a mention of his firm being acquired by another in SMART Business Advisory and Consulting#History ten years after he died. Content about the book was added back in 2010. I recently removed the biographical content about the books author, but left the content about the book. Now, I'm not sure the content about the book even needs to be there per WP:NOTEVERYTHING because it seems like such a minor work by someone not really known for writing books. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:18, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
