[edit]This page has been converted to a redirect to exotic mesons. If in future there is more information on glueballs, then this page could before an article in itself. Bambaiah 08:19, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)
Glueball gravity
[edit]Add data on the main article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:587:410A:DC00:6806:7598:BC5C:AA56 (talk) 04:20, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
"that has not been confirmed experimentally"
[edit]Isn't the claim that the existence of glueballs has not yet been confirmed experimentally contradicted in the next paragraph, which links to a paper that says the odderon was observed experimentally with a high degree of certainty (5.3 sigma)? 2601:801:480:3F90:556:D9C0:71DC:684A (talk) 07:10, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Ablikim et al detection over 11 sigma
[edit]See “Determination of Spin-Parity Quantum Numbers of X(2370)as 0−+ from J/ψ→γK0SK0Sη′” by Ablikim et al of the BESIII consortium. Looks solid but I’m far from a cutting edge particle physicist…

Confirmation of glueball particles
[edit]Chinese media reported today/yesterday that Chinese researchers confirmed the existence of the glueball in a Beijing particle collider. This isn’t my field or remote expertise and I also couldn’t find many physics-oriented journals talking about it yet, mostly Chinese state media, but I think necessary large revisions to this page are imminent.

- More importantly, the paper itself:

- The above news reports from China contain numerous major factual errors. We need more papers or professionals who could carefully analyze the facts. Gedu11539381 (talk) 22:58, 7 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Gedu11539381 That’s what I figured. Didn’t do a very deep search just wanted to have the fact that it needs to be updated available. Thanks! FMRadio(talk | edits | she/her) 18:40, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
- I also agree. In my opinion we should wait until some more papers get published, like you said, but an update is definitely required at some point.
- I would be happy to add info to the page once somebody finds a credible source. KimAtSTEM (talk) 08:18, 10 August 2026 (UTC)
