The map should be updated

[edit]

I don't have the tools to do it, can someone update the 2019 map? The 2020 update was skipped for Covid i guess, but these are the invited guests for 2021: Algeria, Brunei, DR Congo, New Zealand, Singapore, Rwanda, Spain, Netherlands. Barjimoa (talk) 09:23, 30 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Map Of India is also not correctly shown, kindly have a look of it too. 116.73.196.104 (talk) 16:30, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Question about handing over the Presidency/Chairman position

[edit]

Is the next Chairman considered incumbent at the point of the physical handover at the summit by the previous Chairman, or is it always on the 1st of December? Thanks! Brazil hands over G20 Presidency - G20 official website news

(Multi/Bi)Lateral relations categories

[edit]

Could the 19 sovereign countries that are members of the G20 have the X-Y relations (bilateral relations category) and multilateral relations of X categories? Such as in BRICS having Category:Multilateral relations of China and Category:India–Russia relations, for example? I'm not sure if the BRICS case is right or something apart.

I couldn't find a discussion. But I guess this would overload the categories, it would have +19 categories (multilateral) plus +171 bilateral relations [calc=(19!)/((2!(19-2)!))]. Obviously there would be more if we consider countries from African and European unions. Web-julio (talk) 17:34, 22 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

More about Chair rotation and location for Summits

[edit]

So, in the section Summits, subsection Chair rotation, we read "All countries within a group are eligible to take over the G20 Presidency when it is their group's turn" and it isn't stated explicitly but clearly implied that the annual summit is held in the country which holds the Chair for that year. But the phrase "their group's turn" raises the question of how that is determined. One would naively think that the group numbers are stepped through in sequence, but looking at the history, one sees that in the 15 years from Korea's hosting in 2010, the 5 groups have been hosts in the order 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 5, 4, 3, 5, 1, 4, 5, 2, 3, 2. It seemed to have an order to start with that was lost after the first run through, and all that can be said about the sequence is that as of 2025, each member country has now hosted a summit once, with Canada, US, UK and Korea not yet having held the Chair far a full one year term, their summits having occurred during the twice yearly hosting change period. And the actual scheme being used to determine the next chairmanship isn't obtainable from the text, as how the selection of the next group to have a "turn" is arrived at is not obvious. Can anyone shed more light on this? Who will have the chair next, and from what group? 2001:56A:F0E9:9B00:44C0:5BF0:307:4099 (talk) 21:54, 28 August 2025 (UTC)JustSomeWikiReaderReply

Poland joining G20

[edit]

Poland is joining the G20 in 2026 instead of South Africa. The article does not mention this at all, even though it is a substantial change to the format. However, this decision was made by the United States, which is the current host, and was not agreed upon by all G20 members. ~2026-47360-85 (talk) 15:13, 1 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
