The name should be spelled "Furchëta"

[edit]

The name of this mountain is in the Ladin language and means "fork". In the Ladin of Gherdëina, the word for "fork" is "furchëta", while in Badiot it is "forchëta". The spelling "furchetta" with a double t and without trema on the "e" is not used in any variety of Ladin as far as I know, and it is not Italian or any other language either. I believe that it may have been written by someone who did not know the Ladin spelling and was influenced by the Italian spelling, which uses a double t in the word "forchetta".
Therefore, I suggest that the spelling be changed to "furchëta". Asenoner (talk) 19:45, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
