Triggs Tracking

[edit]

What about Trigg's Tracking Error and similar techniques. 80.2.194.24 (talk) 23:43, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

What do you mean by this? Is it some kind of error-prediction scheme? Remember that different fields of application use different termninology. If it is some scheme for improving initial forecasts then it might be better off in some other article, possibly relating to filtering as in "Kalman filter". Different formula needed?

[edit]

I just read the following LinkedIn comment: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/forecast-error-accuracy-which-right-richard-watkins/ I have to say that it is quite convincing. Should we maybe adapt the formula here? 80.71.142.166 (talk) 18:03, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Examples of forecasting errors

What do wrong weather predictions have to do with forecast errors in statistics...? Imo this should be scrapped from the article because it's irrelevant.
