Finiteness of verbs
[edit]Is the finiteness of a verb a concept which is only related to this article by the choice of the term finite? Kevincook13 (talk) 14:44, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- My understanding is that the finiteness of verbs relates to it being actually finite, in that it is bounded by grammatical features such as tense, person, and number, allowing it to serve as the main verb of an independent clause. BD2412 T 03:11, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. I'd like to make that point when first introducing finite verbs in this article. I'll give it a try. Kevincook13 (talk) 16:20, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
Moved to mainspace
[edit]Whatever improvements remain to be made in this article, it is good enough for mainspace, and can be improved further there. BD2412 T 20:30, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
Merge #Compsci section into #Maths
[edit]As title; the computer science/engineering section of this article is rather short, and it concerns (more-or-less) the mathematical / computational logic part of the field. I think we can merge it into #Mathematics section as a subsection. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 22:33, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
