Face Swapping has been removed from FaceApp
[edit]The article makes reference to FaceApp's face swapping routines. However, This feature has recently been removed from the app. In an email from the FaceApp help team, I received the following explanation:

- The hint message that appears when somebody shares the Wikipedia link on various messenger platforms implies that FaceApp is a Russian company:

Not done, the current article doesn't appear to imply that FaceApp is Russian, so I don't see that's there's anything to change. If you had a specific edit in mind, please say what it is. --Belbury (talk) 10:35, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

- The only mention of the term Russia in the Wikipedia article source is that
Yaroslav Goncharov, stated that user data and uploaded images were not being transferred to Russia
, so it sounds like Telegram is getting that information from somewhere else. I don't know where that would be coming from. - c.f. ticket:2024032410001975 - looks like this article listed a different developer back in 2021 - I have no idea what the correct value for this is - however it has since been updated, looks like a third party has bad information that we can't control. — xaosflux Talk 12:34, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
