How about "foot note"?
[edit]I'm reading a college textbook at the moment, and just came across the abbreviation "fn.", in such a context that I assume it means "foot note". Wiktionary also gives that as a possible meaning. Might it be worthwhile to add that definition to this disambiguation page? Fyrius 15:16, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
