Family? Subfamily?

[edit]

Ergilornis and other derived eogruid taxa were sometimes classified as a separate family, Ergilornithidae, but now they are now generally classified as a subfamily within Eogruidae, which is a family in Struthioniformes. The ref supporting this does not say they are in a subfamily, be indeed lists the family. Either another ref should be found that lists Ergilornitinae (or some such), or the assertion should be rewritten and the taxobox changed. - In solidarity, UtherSRG (talk) 04:41, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
