Setting the issue of whether a dissertation meets RS aside, I'm struggling to understand the reference to Pevsner. I'm not sure what is meant by "awkward designations" in the first sentence, and I just don't think the second sentence makes sense. What does "She notes his lack in saying “by Wilbraham” to denote an eroding of Wilbraham’s authorship when discussing Weston Park" mean? The 1974 Pevsner says; "It was built by Sir Thomas and Lady Wilbraham in 1671, Lady Wilbraham being credited with the design" (p=305). The italicising is Pevsner's way of indicating the architect/designer. He lists her in the Index of Artists for both the house and the church, and mentions her in the Introduction.
