The images raises so many questions
[edit]- Why does the photograph taken at the Museum of Celtic Civilization depict him holding a head?
- Whose head is it?
- What is the other object he is holding... a golden statue of some sort of animal?

- Is it really Dumnorix the statue is made of on the photograph or just an image of a random person? PoeticReturn (talk) 10:25, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- The mannequin appears to be based on the imagery of a coin issued by Dumnorix, where he is notably not clad in plaid PJs. Looks like this drawing is the only representation we have at Commons, but if I recall correctly, multiple examples of this coin are extant? The boar is probably a a battle standard to be carried on a pole; he holds a carnyx; that's a pretty gigantic sword even for a Celt; and this coin is a well-cited example of so-called "Celtic headhunting", though in some contexts the severed head appears to have an oracular or other function (see also Decapitation#Celts and Ancient Celtic religion#Head cult.
