Possible duplication

[edit]

I have found the article Dol Formation, which may be a duplicate over this article. I had a look at the edit history of both articles and they appear to have been created at the same time. Also, from a brief google search I couldn't find a source which referenced both. However, I don't know much at all about geology so I could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated Freddieh9 (talk) 21:52, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

The definitive/official list of geological formations in Wales (The BGS Lexicon of Named Rock Units https://webapps.bgs.ac.uk/lexicon/) lists the Dolhir Formation but has no mention of a "Dol Formation". The cited source for the "Dol Formation" is fossilworks.org. My computer lists this as an insecure website so I'll not be checking it. I could find no other sources. I recommend that the "Dol Formation" article should be deleted. GeoWriter (talk) 15:42, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thank you. I have now proposed it for deletion. Freddieh9 (talk) 16:02, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
