Triple Platinum Claim

I have reinstated text which was well-sourced to a Sina article claiming the album sold triple-platinum. This editor has left a detailed comment on @Dhoffryn's talk page (note: Dhoffryn has not edited this article) explaining why they think the claim is wrong. I'm taking the liberty of reposting it here FWIW:

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue regarding the Wikipedia page for Faye Wong's Di Dar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Di-Dar

There is misinformation on the page concerning the sales figures of her album "Di-Dar." The page claims that the album was certified triple platinum by the Hong Kong IFPI and that it sold 1,500,000 copies across Asia. However, these figures are not supported by reliable sources.

The album was released in 1995 but only appeared on sales charts in 1996.
According to Billboard magazine, the Best -selling female artist in Hong Kong in 1995 was Cass Phang, OVER 350,000 UNITS SOLD ON THE LAST 2 ALBUMS IN HK! Given these points, it is highly unlikely that Faye Wong's "Di-Dar" album sold 150,000 copies in Hong Kong, let alone 1,500,000 copies across Asia. The market demand for Cantonese albums does not support such high sales figures.
I kindly request that you verify this information and make the necessary corrections to ensure the accuracy of the Wikipedia page.

As I said in my edit summary, claiming the market doesn't support such sales, or that IFPI (which covers HK/Macau sales only) didn't certify the figure doesn't make this text inaccurate. Well! It’s ok ,Only Faye Wong's fans would believe it, no one else would in Hong Kong,I have no intention of arguing with you! You are right ,The lack of relevant information doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Note that Before there is relevant information, unverified information should not be released, but it doesn't matter! I reverted an edit which was premised on a bunch of speculation about the relative popularity of artists and the market size in Asia and your inability to confirm a figure via primary sources. I understand you feel we shouldn't blindly accepting what the secondary source says, and maybe you're right, which is why I raised it on the talk page and provided your entire rationale for others to consider. See WP:BRD and WP:Consensus.

Take it for whatever you think it's worth, but I think you will find sarcasm doesn't play well on talk pages (I can point you to a recent, well-intentioned attempt of my own that fell flat). Oblivy (talk) 11:13, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

English language titles

Is there any basis for the English titles (currently listed before their Chinese titles) being used officially anywhere? No release of the album, that I can find, officially uses these. Here’s the original track listing on Musicbrainz as an example. They seem like unofficial ones used by fans and other informal situations, and they seemingly differ, and thus they should be listed after their original ones.

Just from a quick search, I can find them listed in many different ways.
