Unsuccessful?

I am going to remove the sentence saying that deformation quantization is usually "not successful":

Despite its name, usually Deformation Quantization does not constitute a successful quantization scheme, namely a method to produce a quantum theory out of a classical one. Nowadays, it amounts to a mere representation change from Hilbert space to phase space.

All quantization schemes are problematic, and this one has been as successful and important as many others. See for example the work of Kontsevich (mentioned in this article) and all the followup work on perturbative quantum field theory. John Baez (talk) 13:10, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
