edit request for my author wiki page

Hi, I'd like to request an edit to a page that is about me. My latest novel was just announced here: https://www.publishersmarketplace.com and I wanted to list it as such, under PERSONAL: Cylin lives in Los Angeles with her family. In September 2026, her latest novel, Songs About You, was announced by Park Row/HarperCollins for publication in 2028.

Not done for now: A couple things: (1) that source doesn't seem to have the relevant announcement, please link to it directly and (2) generally speaking, a novel announced that far in advance is probably too soon unless there's more significant coverage of it than just an announcement by the publisher. Dates can be postponed, plans change, etc. Once there are actually reviews out or the book has actually been published, then it makes more sense to include. please remove COI box at the top of my page

I messed up. I tried to edit the Wikipedia page about me with some new info (announcement of a new novel) but I have a conflict of interest and should have used the Edit Request. I'm sorry. This was quickly caught and corrected (an editor reverted the page back to what it had been) but they also put a Conflict of Interest warning box at the top of my page. I didn't change anything else, so I think the problem is resolved but I'd like someone who knows what they are doing, ie: a Wiki Editor, to go in and remove the box (not me, because, well, see above. I'm not touching the page ever again!)

Anyhow, thanks. Sorry I was treating this like my IMDB page, I understand where I screwed up. Won't happen again.

Not done: The most recent edit was reverted but it appears you made a series of edits over the course of two years. I'm sure you had the best of intentions, but you are a major contributor and you do have a close connection (being the subject).

Also do you know User:Buhz bee, User:45YourMom45, or User:KimJones69? Because each of them created an account for which they only edited this page, for years. Also these accounts all edited in mutually exclusive windows. Buhz bee stops March 2015, 45YourMom45 picks up in December of that year, they stop February 2019, KimJones starts November of that year, they stop February 2023, your account is created April 2024. That's a pretty weird coincidence.

Yes, I think I know who BuhzBee, etc, is (someone hired to design/update my website who said the wikipedia page about me "would reflect those updates"). When I folded my website, I got my own account on wikipedia (around 2023-4).

That said, I know now that hiring someone to update your wikipedia page is also a "conflict of interest" so everything on this page probably needs to go. Nuke it from space.

I'll submit a request to delete this page entirely via PROD rules.
