Title
[edit]Technically, this should be called "Critics' Choice Movie Award" (minus the "s") to comply with others like Academy Award, Emmy Award, etc, unless you consider awards a class? And since this has been moved from BFCA, the corresponding ceremonies need renamed, because you cannot title the page one thing and then have a section full of awards titled the other. This should have been discussed before renaming. — WylieCoyote 17:01, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Is TV included?
[edit]It's hard to tell whether this article is trying to describe just the movie awards, or the awards for both TV and movies. I suspect that some editors had one idea, and others had another idea, and one idea was appropriate for one point in time, and another idea was more appropriate later, and none of this ever got unified. The confusion is probably a result of the fact that the Critics Choice Association used to have separate awards for movies and television, but they combined them in 2016. Perhaps we change this article's name from Critics' Choice Movie Awards to Critics' Choice Awards, and maybe also combine it with the Critics' Choice Television Awards article. Alternatively, we could leave the TV awards as its own article, and split this article into two pieces (three total): one for the movie awards, and one for the combined awards. - Burner89751654 (talk) 03:37, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- I agree - this is confusing. The DAB page is unnecessary and equally confusing. I would combine the two pages and explain the split in the history. And get rid of those lists of multiple nominees and winners (which are uncited anyway). Laterthanyouthink (talk) 01:00, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Requested move 28 January 2026
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Pluralized "Award" per consensus below. (closed by non-admin page mover) Jeffrey34555 (talk) 01:35, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
Critics' Choice Movie Awards → Critics' Choice Award – (or plural form) This is the current name, and the current split into an historic event that only existed for 5 years is confusing. Suggest merging Critics' Choice Television Awards into this article. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 01:04, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Support moving to Critics' Choice Awards; I also agree that Critics' Choice Television Awards should be merged here. Thanks, Glasspalace (talk • contribs) 02:46, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
