Qualifier/Units needed when percentages given

[edit]

In the section "Flavors", the percentages (1.37, 1.31, and 1.31) given for caffeine content in different coffee roasts should have a unit (mg/g) or at least a qualification as to whether the measurement is being done by volume or weight (or some other method). The Coffee Roaster Audio Sample

[edit]

The coffee roaster audio sample sounds very similar to a Nine Inch Nails song. However, luckily the resemblance is not to the extent of a copyright violation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jason P Jackson (talk • contribs) 04:10, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

History

[edit]

The second paragraph of this section introduces the proper name "Burns" without citing a source. Who is Burns? NateDies (talk) 21:33, 26 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sugars in coffee

[edit]

In my opinion, the article could expand more on the role of sugars in coffee roasting. For example, it might mention how the natural sugars in beans (like sucrose) break down during roasting—creating sweet, caramel-like flavors in light/medium roasts, while darker roasts lose more sugar and taste bolder. Just a thought to make the section more detailed! Lina Pond (talk) 07:51, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Processing Information

[edit]

I am new to Wikipedia editing and I’m here to contribute the to the processing part of coffee roasting. I noticed the article is missing information on the options of processing before roasting. Options like washed, semi-washed, or natural are all missing and this is a crucial factor to coffee roasting. Josieblue0303 (talk) 01:27, 23 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is intended to be a summary of published thought, so the best route for you is to find a published description of the cherry process options and cite that expert source. Binksternet (talk) 01:37, 23 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
