I don't see any significant difference between the subject of this article and that of the chitterlings article. I think they should be merged. —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 19:40, 29 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

I split this out on May 26th because the Chitterlings article was being pulled in two directions: one way was as a summary article for intestines as food, and the other was specific discussion about chitterlings (chitlins) in Southern & Black American culture. I was WP:BOLD and split it out under the WP:RELAR rationale. I think this article is in sore need of attention - and I'd be happy to contribute - but I think merging it back in would be like trying to put the sausage back in the casing after squeezing it out.
