Theudobert II was the son of Childebert's concubine and, according to Fredegar's Brunhilde, Childebert's gardener. Theodoric II was Childebert's son with Failuba.

Researching lineage of Frankish kings. In this article there is a link to Chilperic II. This is a link to Chilperic II(637-November 27, 655 or 658). Childebert II (570-595) could not have sought an alliance with this Chilperic II who was born 42 years after Childebert's death.
