External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Chick Springs. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20110512210910/http://www.chicksprings.org:80/news/news.htm to http://www.chicksprings.org/news/news.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Edit request: external link and a usurped citation
[edit]I work with Taylors TownSquare, the nonprofit that acquired the Chick Springs property in 2024, as the article notes. Because of that connection I'm requesting these edits rather than making them.
1. External links. Please add under ==External links==:
* [https://chicksprings.org Chick Springs history timeline], Taylors TownSquare
It is an illustrated timeline of the site from the Cherokee period to the current restoration, with scans of the original deeds, plats and newspaper items from the Greenville County Register of Deeds and other archives.
2. Usurped citation. The Historical Society citation in "Twentieth century and later years" links to http://www.chicksprings.org/news/news.htm. The Chick Springs Historical Society no longer runs that domain; it now hosts the Taylors TownSquare timeline, so the live link no longer shows the page being cited. Suggested replacement for that reference, keeping the existing archive copy:
<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.chicksprings.org/news/news.htm |title=Chick Springs Historical Society |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110512210910/http://www.chicksprings.org/news/news.htm |archive-date=May 12, 2011 |url-status=usurped}}</ref>
Thank you. ~2026-52530-12 (talk) 00:52, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
