Sample Front Page

I agree it should be replaced, but mainly because it is an old image and the masthead looks a little different now.

The only problem is, I don't know what sources I can use. I would assume it would have to come from Wikimedia commons, but I couldn't find any recent front pages there. I couldn't even find the one that is currently the sample front page. Is it okay to use a pic from say, Chicago Tribune's twitter account? They've got a great one there from July 2023 and is very Chicago oriented, so that's fitting.

Proposal to Remove political Parameter from Infobox

Broken footnote link - Cole, 1948

Red baiting

I'm not seeing anything about red baiting and anti-communism in this article. I'm reading a Chicago Tribune article about a peace march in 1964, and a writer named Thomas Nuzum dishonestly compared two distinct organizations, a communist newspaper in Europe who supported the march, and Women Strike for Peace (WSP), the sponsor of the march, implying WSP was affiliated with communists. However, only the FBI was making this claim at the time, so it appears the Chicago Tribune was shilling for the FBI. Viriditas (talk) 23:22, 6 August 2026 (UTC)
