Joseph Carrozzi, AM is an Australian business executive who has served as President of Business NSW since February 2025. Business NSW’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is led by Chief Executive Officer Daniel Hunter. The senior leadership team also includes Ben Pearce, Chief Financial Officer, and Zaklina Craig, Chief People Officer.

In the infobox of the Business NSW article, Business Sydney is already listed as a division. I propose updating this entry so that it links directly to the existing Wikipedia article on Business Sydney.

Advocacy

Business NSW advocates on behalf of businesses through submissions and participation in government inquiries and consultation processes.[1] It has been active in public debate on NSW workers compensation reform.[2][3] It makes submissions to the Fair Work Commission Annual Wage Review on minimum wages.[4] In February 2026 it commented on the impact of interest rate rises on small businesses after the Reserve Bank increased the cash rate target by 25 basis points to 3.85 per cent.[5] It was cited in reporting about business impacts from higher fuel costs linked to global supply disruptions, alongside national measures such as a temporary halving of fuel excise.[6] Business NSW has supported efforts to reduce red tape for small business, including the NSW Charter for Small Business.[7]

Proposed Revision: Add Citation and revise wording

I would like to add a citation and propose revising the following sentence in the History section:

Current text: "The insurance company arm was established primarily to indemnify employers against claims that might be made by their employees who were injured at work, and was in direct response to the new Workmen's Compensation Act 1910."

Proposed revision: "MMI was created to provide employers with insurance coverage for workplace injury claims, following the introduction of the 1910 Workmen's Compensation Act."

Proposed Revision: New Survey section (v2)

Proposed Addition: Surveys Section

I work at Business NSW, so I am using the COI edit request template as per WP:COI. In terms of placement, I am proposing inserting it just after the Advocacy section.

Business NSW carries out surveys on business conditions and workforce issues in New South Wales [1]. Its Business Conditions Survey covers operating costs, labour availability and other pressures, with recent results highlighting concerns about insurance premiums [2] and energy prices [3].The organisation also undertakes Workforce Skills Surveys on issues such as difficulty hiring staff and skills shortages, including challenges faced by employers in regional areas [4]. Findings are used in submissions to government and industry bodies [4].

Hi @Spintendo, thanks for taking the time to review this proposed edit. I had re-worked the entry substantially from the version reviewed by @Deacon Vorbis - which is why I appended it with a V2 in the subject line. I'm working through the COI process transparently and am genuinely trying to improve a neglected page. The business had rebranded in 2020, and no one bothered to update the wiki entry for many years.
