- An email from Oct 24, 2013, addressed to J.E., provides a number of unique identifiers - dinner with J.E. the night before, booked show for the next weekend at Hard Rock Cafe in Ft Lauderdale, FL, etc. And signed "B." All facts identify the writer as Bobby Slayton.
- While it's not a proof you could hang a case on at court, it's enough to open an investigation. And as such, it ought to be mentioned. Or do you have a vested interest in protecting pdf's? ~2026-87475-8 (talk) 14:03, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- While @~2026-82420-3's initial wording here isn't particularly constructed, his presence in the Epstein files and obvious friendship/communication with Epstein should absolutely be mentioned in the article. The release of the Epstein files is a huge current news story, are absolutely in the public interest of Wikipedia readership, and come from a reliable source. It's entirely possible to mention this information while adhering to BLP and not including anything libelous. His presence in the files and emails with Epstein are a matter of fact and public record. The communications continued long after Epstein's initial conviction, which is the benchmark by which much of Epstein's friendships are being framed in news media right now. It's extremely relevant and noteworthy, and the only reason to not mention it in the article would be to protect Slayton's public image, which isn't the job of his Wikipedia article.
