The symbolism of the Ross flag design has been discovered and new evidence proves the US Stars and Stripes is nearly 70 years older than known. Found on Scottish Jacobite coat buttons that symbolized the deposed house of Stuart. Sources are found in the British Parliament Archives.

The lead paragraphs that follow paragraph two cover intricate details about flags but not much detail about the woman that this article is about. Would it make sense to move some or all of this information into the body? I ask because I'm not that familiar with the subject.
