Neither macrolanguage nor cluster?

Open question: Why, if Beti is not considered a language, but the group of Ewondo, Fang, Bulu, Eton, Bebele, Bebil, Mengisa are "largely mutually intelligible and variously considered dialects [of what?] or closely related languages," it was not reframed as either a macrolanguage or a cluster? Must be more to the linguistic relationship than is discussed in this article.--A12n (talk) 23:29, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Why is Fang not mentioned here?

Fang (and some others) is included as a Beti language elsewhere (incl. the Guthrie classification article), but not here. If there are different conventions as to what ‘Beti languages’ constitute, can this be clarified? As an official language of two countries with over a million speakers, Fang is clearly quite important, and the relationship is ambiguous and confusing (if it is, this could be mentioned here too) ~2026-22170-15 (talk) 22:54, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
