Inconsistencies between books

Myself and Daemonic Kangaroo have been building this article and have come across discrepancies between the three books we cite. In particular, two say he was born in Tettenhall, the other Southampton and the same two have earlier dates of death, but only circa. There is also confusion re when he actually joined the office staff at Wolverhampton Wanderers as the football managers book said it was in 1900, but the Southampton book says he was playing there till 1908. The latter is backed up by the Players' Records book saying he first played for Wolves in the 1908-09 season. Any help fixing this with some more concrete knowledge would be appreciated!
