Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Benjamin Gaulon. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Proposed update and corrections (COI edit request)

[edit]

Hello. I am Benjamin Gaulon, the subject of this article, so I have a conflict of interest and am not editing the page directly. I would like to propose an update. The full revised article is in my sandbox, ready to replace the current text: User:Benjamin Gaulon/sandbox. The main changes are:

Factual corrections

  • "2.4 kHz Project" should be 2.4 GHz (the frequency of the wireless cameras; the cited Neural article's URL reads "2-4ghz").
  • The Irish Museum of Contemporary Art (IMOCA) is currently linked to imma.ie, which is the Irish Museum of Modern Art, a different institution. I removed the link.
  • Infobox "Notable work: Recyslism" is a typo, and Recyclism is my working name. I moved it to "other_names" and listed works instead.
  • "He has previously released work under the name recyclism": I still use the name, so this now reads "has worked under the name Recyclism since 2001".
  • "Nø Nevers" corrected to NØ School Nevers.
  • Resonate (Belgrade) took place in March 2012, not 2011.
  • ISEA 2009 was listed twice. Merged.

Updates

  • Current teaching (adds CY école de design) and the practice-based PhD at Technological University Dublin.
  • Co-founding of the Internet of Living Things Institute (with Vincent Valéry) and the Internet of Dead Things Institute (with Jérôme Saint-Clair).
  • MinitelSE added to projects; NEUTRAL HOST at Design Museum Gent (October 2026), sourced to the museum's programme page.
  • The Internet of Dead Things moved to a "Publications" section with publisher (Institute of Network Cultures) and ISBN.
  • Selected exhibitions from 2012 to 2026 added (ZKM, Transmediale, Jeu de Paume, National Art Museum of China, Taipei Biennial, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, HeK Basel, KIKK Festival and others).

Cleanup

  • Citations reformatted: authors moved out of title fields, publication dates corrected (Wired, December 2005; Neural, July 2006; CreativeApplications, March 2010), Gizmodo author corrected to Jonah Brucker-Cohen.
  • Dead external link (ewasteworkshop.com) removed; NØ School Nevers added.
  • Duplicate "net art" removed from the infobox; small typos fixed.
  • Categories added: French contemporary artists, Parsons School of Design faculty, People from Montereau-Fault-Yonne. (They are disabled in the sandbox with a leading colon; please restore them when copying.)

I would be grateful if an uninvolved editor could review this, and also consider whether the 2010 maintenance tags can be reassessed once the update is in place. Thank you. Benjamin Gaulon (talk) 16:24, 29 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
