Language
[edit]"Bengali is the 5th most spoken language in the world."
"It is also the seventh most spoken language by total number of speakers in the world."
One (or both) of these must be wrong! Does the first need qualifying with "native speakers" or "first language speakers" or something like that? (I don't know myself.)

Change the status of "Arunachal Pradesh" in the map, on image 2/57 of Wikipedia's page on Bengal, from "India" to "Disputed" or "Disputed between India and China". While India does maintain control of the state of Arunachal Pradesh, it is also disputed by the PRC to be "South Tibet" and part of the Tibet Autonomous region in the PRC. The PRC does not recognize the McMahon line, which serves as the current border between India and the PRC as recognized by the Republic of India. Sap56 (talk) 18:16, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

Bengal Region Map
[edit]@SolaymanGazi50plus Why do you keep removing the map of the Bengal region? In addition to Bangladesh and West Bengal, the Bengal region also includes Bengali-speaking areas of Tripura, Assam, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar. Rizwan (talk) 18:34, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
