In order to get the eggs, the fish is indeed killed in the process. But sometimes, fish farmers use a surgical procedure to remove eggs from a female sturgeon without killing it. Will look for sources and try to include the data. Hari7478 (talk) 16:56, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
