Update Page Information

[edit]

please review the following content and update the page.

Hello HussainSabaa, and thank you for your suggestions. I'm afraid I cannot update the article by your request. The most serious problem with your draft is that it is too promotional and does not adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising, marketing or public relations, but the purpose of your proposed text is clearly to win over prospective customers and investors. As such, it cannot be added to the article unless it is substantially rewritten. The most obvious red flags are phrases that are frequently used in press releases, but are not appropriate for an encyclopedia. These promotional terms include phrases such as "designed in harmony", "most prestigious business address", and "designed to impress." And what about the prediction "Given our central location, easy access and plentiful parking, Harbour Gate is likely to grow from strength-to-strength?" Wikipedia's readers expect this website's articles to refrain from unverifiable predictions. I would be doing this website's audience a disservice were I turn this article into a corporate brochure. Please read through some of Wikipedia's articles on other buildings to get a sense of how to present information as objectively as possible. Thank you. Providing "correct" information is not sufficient for justifying its inclusion in a Wikipedia article. How the information is presented also matters. There are certain details in your draft which are subjective: for example, calling the development a "suitable location" is a matter of opinion, not a fact. Once you remove the subjective elements of the draft, I would also add more sources to support the other claims. Best, Altamel (talk) 05:56, 16 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Update Page Information rev.2

[edit]

We've revised the content, please revise it and update the page.

Better, but still needs work. First, I can't tell which version you are submitting since you copied the entire text twice. Second, every paragraph should have a citation. And third, I still see some promotional content in the draft: for example, the last paragraph of the "Harbour Gate" section. Go through this article with a fine tooth comb, look at every sentence, and rewrite any that have a promotional slant. Altamel (talk) 17:48, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
