Updated materials 2026

Conflict of interest disclosure: I am affiliated with Aurora Minerals Group. In accordance with WP:COI, I am not editing the article directly and am submitting the following proposed changes for review by an uninvolved editor.

1. Update ownership structure

The article's ownership section appears outdated. Requesting an update to reflect current ownership:

• Aurora Minerals Group and Aurora Geophysics are currently owned by Said Sultanov.
• Aurora Quest Services is currently owned by Kaisar Kozhamuratov.

Suggested source: company registry records (Kazakhstan Ministry of Justice legal entity registry, accessible via adata.kz or similar business registry aggregators) showing current directors/beneficial owners of the respective legal entities. [Please attach the specific registry printout/citation you have, or a press release announcing the ownership change, as registry aggregator pages alone may not meet WP:RS — a secondary source describing the change would strengthen this request.]

2. Update on NovaDrilling

The article should note that NovaDrilling LLP (ТОО «NovaDrilling», Astana) was divested and became part of OGK Group (a Russian drilling holding company) in 2022. Sultanov's stake in NovaDrilling was sold as part of this transaction.

Proposed sentence: "NovaDrilling, formerly a drilling subsidiary, was sold in 2022 and became part of OGK Group, an international drilling holding."

3. Regarding the "Allegations" section

We believe some claims in this section are outdated or based on sources of questionable reliability, specifically the March 2024 Weekly Blitz article ("Corruption in Kazakhstan's mining sector affects Russia's interests"). We would like to request that editors evaluate the reliability of this source at Reliable Sources Noticeboard, as it appears to be an opinion/analysis outlet rather than a fact-checked news service.

We are not requesting removal of well-sourced allegations, but would like to propose that the company's response be fairly represented alongside them, per WP:BALANCE. We understand this is a primary/self-published source under WP:SPS and can only be used, if at all, as an attributed statement (e.g., "Aurora Minerals Group has stated that...") rather than as a basis for removing sourced allegations. If there are independent secondary sources reporting on the company's rebuttal or on updated facts (e.g., closure of any investigation, court rulings, retraction by a publication), please let us know or add them, as those would carry more weight than our own statement.
