I have an article from an old irish newspaper about the reprisal burnings of business thought to be owned by IRA sympathisers (including my Great-Grandfathers), should I add some of the info —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.195.33.146 (talk) 04:08, 12 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

So what? A huge number of innocent people were murdered or hounded from the country, and had their property destroyed simply because they did not support rebellion against the lawful authorities. A policy of reprisals may have helped to keep the number of IRA atrocities down.
