Overall: @Romanov loyalist: Article is new enough (per WP:DYKNEW, "The seven-day limit can be extended for a day or two upon request.") and long enough (4709 characters). It is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright violations. I am assuming good faith for the foreign-language sources. Hook is cited and interesting. QPQ is not required. As per WP:DYKHFC, the hook fact within the article must be cited at the end of the sentence. Once that's taken care of, this will be good to go. AmateurHi$torian (talk) 11:59, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

@AmateurHi$torian: The only source I could find that says he is the only officer graduate is this one from 2009. I presume that no others graduated between then and now, especially given that US-Russia relations got worse from there, and I did not find any information showing otherwise. But, if another source is needed besides that one, I would like to withdraw the nomination, because there are no other sources for that available that I have been able to find. @Romanov loyalist: The source is fine. But in the article, the sentence supporting the hook needs to have a citation at the end of the sentence. The part which says that he is the only graduate does have an end-of-sentence citation, but the fact that he served with Wagner does not. AmateurHi$torian (talk) 17:36, 3 February 2025 (UTC)

@AmateurHi$torian: I propose to change the blurb to say "served alongside the Wagner Group in Ukraine." That may be more accurate. The article's description is ambiguous, though if the brigade had a Serbian officer then it was probably a Wagner unit rather than the regular military. It did say that they defended a flank of the Wagner Group. So that change would be better than the original wording. Romanov loyalist (talk) 22:33, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
