In redirecting AMMYY I came across this 2014 discussion: Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2014_October_15#OmniTech_Support.

I contend that it is not actually libelous to talk about this software because we are not actually saying the company who makes the software is running the scams (I have seen no evidence of that) but rather, as RDS, scammers can use the software to gain access/control to hijack systems and personal information.

The software is just a tool and the software producer is just a tool-maker, I am not libeling them anymore than I would be libeling a gun-making company by saying that someone used that brand of gun to kill someone. Ranze (talk) 19:31, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

If we have nothing to say about the company or its software, except that scammers sometimes use it, then I hardly see the point of this tiny article. Equinox 17:25, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
That sounds super useful to me, especially if you find it installed unexpectedly on a machine. Mathiastck (talk) 19:16, 28 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
