I modelled this page after Avalon Waterways, in case that should be recorded somewhere for attribution purposes. That page has a nice table including the ships in the fleet, so I tried to do that here too, but the information is patchier. I feel like each row, if not each cell, ought to have a footnote, though I notice that isn't the case with the Avalon Waterways page or for List of river cruise ships, from which I got some of the entries in the Ama table. Also, I wonder if it's actually useful to include the port of registry and the register number? Q·L·1968 ☿ 05:01, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

• What I think should be changed (include citations):

1. In the Overview section, revise “29” to “30.” "AmaWaterways currently operates 30 ships that offer cruises in Europe, Southern Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and Egypt." 2. In the History section, remove or revise “The company has been a member of the gastronomic society La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs since 2011.[15]” 3. In the Present Day section, revise “Unusual for river cruises, there are hair salons on AmaWaterways ships” to “AmaWaterways ships also feature spas, pools, gyms and libraries, with some ships offering hair and nail services as well.” 4. Remove or move into the History section: “AmaWaterways was the first river cruise line to belong to the gourmet chain La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.[1][3]” 5 In the Fleet section, revise “As of 2025, AmaWaterways had a fleet of 29 ships.[2]” to “As of 2026, AmaWaterways operates a fleet of 30 ships.” 6. Add AmaSofia to the chart in the Fleet section. Ship: AmaSofia; Entered Service: 2026; Length: 443ft.; Width: 39ft.; Stateroom: 76; Passengers: 152; Flag: Switzerland; Register No.: N/A; Photo: N/A 7. In the Sustainability section to remove the word “glass” and the mention of Tetra Pak water, and add “water stations”: The company highlights single-use plastic reductions (paper straws, refillable water bottles, water stations, refillable bathroom dispensers), recycled-material luggage tags and the MyAmaCruise app to cut paper.

• Why it should be changed:

1. New ship AmaSofia began cruising in spring 2026 and is not accounted for in the current listed count of 29. 2. AmaWaterways is no longer associated with the La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and has discontinued the onboard dinner program bearing its name. 3. AmaWaterways has discontinued the hair salons on the majority of the fleet—only select ships in non-European destinations continue to offer hair and nail services. The rest of the listed amenities remain active, and I have added “pools” as an amenity that is featured on all ships across the fleet. 4. AmaWaterways is no longer associated with the La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and has discontinued the onboard dinner program bearing its name. 5. New ship AmaSofia began cruising in spring 2026 and is not accounted for in the current listed count of 29. 6. New ship AmaSofia began cruising in spring 2026 and is not accounted for in the current list. 7. AmaWaterways is now providing guests with complimentary refillable water bottles and has installed water stations on all ships for guests as part of the changes they have made to their onboard amenities.
