I have a conflict of interest regarding the subject and therefore am not making these edits directly. I would appreciate review by an uninvolved editor.
I propose the following four additions to the existing Biography. These additions expand the existing biographical coverage without removing or replacing the article's currently sourced material. Each proposed addition can be reviewed independently.
1. Healthcare career
[edit]I propose adding the following material after the existing sentence concerning Sino's work at Coney Island Hospital.
Proposed text:
At Coney Island Hospital, Sino was involved in implementing changes to emergency-department operations intended to reduce ambulance waiting times and improve the speed with which emergency patients received care.[1][2]
Sino subsequently served as a Vice President and member of Beth Israel Medical Center's Executive Administration, with broad responsibilities encompassing patient access, physician services and business development.[3] His administrative work included the Patient Navigator Program and the Heritage Initiative.[4] His work also encompassed patient-centered initiatives including Donna Karan's Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Program and the Louis Armstrong Department of Music Therapy.[5]
After his work at Beth Israel, Sino became President and CEO of Faith Health Care, a post-acute health care network in Florida.[6][7]
2. Film and acting
[edit]I propose adding the following paragraph concerning Sino's acting work.
Proposed text:
In 2026, Sino appeared in Andrey Zvyagintsev's film Minotaur, which received the Grand Prix at the 79th Cannes Film Festival and the Sydney Film Prize at the 73rd Sydney Film Festival.[8][9][10]
3. Writing and audiobook
[edit]The existing Biography mentions The Limitless Music. I propose expanding the writing information with the following material.
Proposed text:
Sino's published works include Leonid Agutin: Limitless Music (2019), co-written with Leonid Agutin, Alexey Logvinchenko and Vladimir Logvinchenko (ISBN 978-5-4496-8447-9),[11] and The Grand Old Man (2019; ISBN 978-5-0050-0546-5).[12] His later works include Mahler's Prank (Russian: Малер. Розыгрыш) (2026; ISBN 978-0-466-48041-7) and The Theft of the Century: A Mona Lisa Tale (2026; ISBN 979-8-1953711-9-7).
Mahler's Prank was also released as an audiobook, credited to Alex Sino and Terry Heimat and narrated by Andrey Zavodyuk, Terry Heimat and Sino.[13][14]
Mahler's Prank was also released as an audiobook, credited to Alex Sino and Terry Heimat and narrated by Andrey Zavodyuk, Terry Heimat and Sino.[15][16]
4. Pier 5
[edit]I propose adding the following paragraph concerning Sino's work through Pier 5.
Proposed text:
Sino founded Pier 5, an entertainment and record company.[17] Pier 5 also operates as a music publisher, with Pier 5 Ltd. registered in BMI's repertory.[18] Through Pier 5, Sino has worked directly on recording and audiovisual projects as a producer, composer and publisher; Granma documented his production involvement through Pier 5 on Reencuentros: Live at the Grand Theater of Havana.[19]
I would appreciate an uninvolved editor reviewing each proposed addition independently and incorporating the material that is adequately supported by the cited sources. Funky Sonatas (talk) 19:27, 1 September 2026 (UTC)

I propose expanding the existing music-career material in the Biography with the following text. The proposed material adds chronological coverage and additional secondary sources, including Kommersant, Latin Jazz Network, Billboard, All About Jazz and Música Clásica Buenos Aires.
Proposed text:
Sino's work as a music producer has focused on cross-cultural collaborations bringing together musicians from different countries and musical traditions.
In 2008, Sino was Al Di Meola's producer and the director of his group.[1]
In 2010, Sino co-produced the recording of Reencuentros: Live at the Grand Theater of Havana, by Cuban flautist Orlando "Maraca" Valle and his Latin Jazz All Stars, recorded live at the García Lorca hall of the Gran Teatro de La Habana. The album and concert video were released in 2011.[2] Latin Jazz Network described Reencuentros as an international recording drawing on traditional and contemporary Cuban music and included it among its reviewer's noteworthy recordings of 2011.[3] Reencuentros received two nominations at the 2013 Cubadisco Awards, in Música Instrumental (Instrumental Music) and Notas Discográficas (Liner Notes).[4]
In 2020, Sino produced La Vida Cosmopolita, a collaboration that began in Miami in 2019, when he brought together an international group of musicians and songwriters to develop the project. The album included collaborations with Jon Secada, Diego Torres, Amaury Gutiérrez, Carlos Oliva and Al Di Meola.[5][6]
For La Vida Cosmopolita, Sino and Leonid Agutin wrote "Just a Rainy Day", featuring Al Di Meola. The song won the World Music category of the 25th Annual USA Songwriting Competition.[7] In 2023, "Just a Rainy Day" was among the winners in the World category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, credited to Agutin and Sino.[8]
Made in Miami, produced by Camilo Valencia, Richard Bravo and Sino, was highlighted by Billboard in its coverage of the album and its 2023 Latin Grammy recognition.[9] All About Jazz described Made in Miami as blending salsa, pop, samba, jazz and R&B, and highlighted "Songo Bop" among its tracks.[10]
In 2023, Sino received a Latin Grammy Award as a producer of Made in Miami, which won Best Instrumental Album at the 24th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.[11] The album, released by Pier 5, received two Latin Grammy Awards: Best Instrumental Album and Best Arrangement for "Songo Bop", arranged by Rafael Valencia.[12][13]
In 2025, Sino co-produced Alma Libre. All About Jazz described the recording as combining jazz, Latin, classical and funk influences and identified Sino and Richard Bravo as its producers, with Terry Heimat as conductor and arranger.[14] The publication later placed "I'll Be Always With You", from Alma Libre and featuring Arturo Sandoval, first in its year-end Popular Jazz Songs: 2025 list.[15]
In 2026, Sino and Terry Heimat recorded, arranged and produced the album Funky Sonatas, based on music by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Astor Piazzolla, Ennio Morricone, Gato Barbieri and Lalo Schifrin.[16] Música Clásica Buenos Aires described the album as a dialogue between classical music and Latin jazz, highlighting "Rachmaninoff en Ritmo", performed by pianist Svetlana Smolina and Milton Salcedo, as a meeting of Russian Romantic piano writing with Latin-jazz rhythm and improvisation.[17][18]
I would appreciate an uninvolved editor reviewing the proposed material and incorporating the portions that are adequately supported and appropriate for the article. Funky Sonatas (talk) 14:09, 10 September 2026 (UTC) Funky Sonatas (talk) 14:09, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
