Cones vs. rods - peak sensitivity of rhodopsin

In section "Red lights and lenses", subsection "Cones vs. rods", it is stated "...rhodopsin, which has a peak sensitivity at a wavelength of approximately 530 nanometers..." However, the accompanying chart shoes a peak sensitivity of 498 nanometers. A random google check seems to confirm this (saying the peak is 496). Sensitivity of rhodopsin is not the only factor that affects the sensitivity of the retina to light, so these numbers need not be identical. For example, shorter wavelengths are absorbed or scattered more as they pass through biological tissues, so the spectrum of light reaching the retina is not the same as that entering it.
