[edit]I was surprised that there was not an abolitionist teaching page, so I made one in order to assist those who might be looking for an overview on the topic. This supplements what is available on Bettina Love's Wikipedia page and contextualizes abolitionist teaching in its historical, theoretical and activist context. I draw on the history of abolition, prison reform, critical pedagogy and Black feminism to show how abolitionist teaching combines multiple practices.
While I created the article, the work is not done. It would benefit from a clear set of classroom examples from practitioners, showcasing the positive impact abolitionist teaching methods have on students. Rachelismo (talk) 20:29, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

Edit Dr. LeMaster’s name
[edit]I suggest an edit to Dr. LeMaster’s name as her name is Lore/tta LeMaster, not Benny. Though the article is published under the latter, she has since changed her name. NPOV lead
[edit]This article, but specifically the lead, is written in a non-neutral point of view and I have no idea where to start. There is not a semblance of a definition that I can pick out, opting instead for fluff and buzz words. I did some work, but someone more knowledgeable than me has to finish this. - I've read the book from which abolitionist teaching was coined and am interested in improving the neutrality of the article. I'm relatively new to editing and could use your input; for example, do you think it is acceptable to cite the book for a definition?
