Fair use rationale for Image:Didion-Prayer.jpg

Image:Didion-Prayer.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Updating the article

I've recently read and have been re-reading this novel and was disappointed with the Wikipedia article, I'm going to source the summary from the EBSCO article about Common Prayer but I'm waiting on updating the plot until I throughly annotate the book with notes and study it because the book has multiple sections and the "plot introduction" section is very bare-bones. I'm also going to replace the cover picture with the cover picture from joandidion.org (Didion Dunne Trust) so that there's a HQ version and that fair use is explained in the cover update. More references to follow too, of course. Not sure if I can get this anywhere near GA class but hopefully B-class at least. 21reyesc (talk) 13:22, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Agree the plot summary is pretty brief. Not uncommonly so, it does have the main theme outlined. But it could be expanded.

What is the EBSCO article in question? In a brief search I found an article about the Anglican prayer book, but nothing about the Didion book. -- M.boli (talk) 13:42, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Also, about plot. Ideally, I’d like to split it into subheadings “part 1” and “part 2 and 3” considering it does start in media res and trying to explain the plot of the entire novel chronologically is a bit burdensome Creyes1021 (talk) 14:00, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
