Blackburn fans' behaviour pre-match

[edit]

This article lacks a Pre-Match section, unlike the one for the 1884 FA Cup Final where again a Blackburn team played. In the latter article it is mentioned that special trains to London had been laid on for Blackburn fans "for the second year in succession" and it retrospectively mentions various tea rooms along the route were "destroyed" by fans of 1883's Final, which caused the railways on 1884's Final day to close all refreshment rooms along the route. This is an aspect that could be investigated and written in to this featured article, should anyone have access to reports dating from within 1883 that can fill in the background. The background training mentioned in the Match day section as being done by Olympic could also be moved into a Pre-Match section.Cloptonson (talk) 09:25, 25 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
