Rage game

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy has been described as a rage game.[1]

A rage game is a video game designed to frustrate the player, often characterized by unfair difficulty, unpredictable mechanics or a high reliance on memorization. Rage games typically differ from other hard game genres such as masocore games, kaizo games and precision platformers, which feature difficult but fair gameplay designed to challenge and improve the player's skill, agility and/or endurance.[2][3][4]
