Productboard was launched at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco in September 2016. Its platform linked customer requests and research to proposed features and product roadmaps.[1][2] The company has offices in San Francisco and Prague.[3]

In February 2022, Productboard raised US$125 million in a Series D round led by Dragoneer Investment Group and Tiger Global Management. The round brought its total funding to US$262 million and valued it at US$1.725 billion.[4] In the same year, it acquired SatisMeter, a Prague-based company whose software collected feedback from users on websites and in mobile apps.[5]

Restructuring and AI development

[edit]

Productboard cut approximately one-fifth of its workforce, or about 100 employees, in November 2022, citing weaker demand for software. Further job cuts were reported in January 2024.[6] [7] In April 2026, the company cut more than 30% of its workforce as it reorganized around Productboard Spark, its AI product.[8]

Software

[edit]

Productboard's platform collects feedback from sources like customer-support systems, surveys and direct user research. Product teams can link that information to feature proposals, set priorities and create roadmaps.[9]

Productboard Spark adds AI-assisted analysis and planning to the company's product-management software.[10][8]
