Rotate the image
[edit]At the moment this subpage of Portal:Current events uses image 
(File:Ambox globe.svg), created by penubag. The image is centered on Europe and Africa. What if the globe rotated depending on current time, roughly following the Earth's rotation? Switching every eight hours between three images seems like a good idea, in the same way as emojies of Earth globe have three views:

The current style of the icon has the borders of 
and map contours of 
. If this idea is picked up, I would prefer File:Ambox globe Americas.svg and File:Ambox globe Asia Australia.svg to be created used for this purpose. —andrybak (talk) 22:09, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

- All templates which now use the new template.
- I've left the current icon in Europe- and Africa-related templates: {{Munich transport network}}, {{Paris transport network}}, {{Update-Sudan}}. I've also updated {{Mexico City transport network}} to use the globe with Americas.
- Sdkb, updates for File:Ambox current red.svg
